Myron Emery has worked as a freelance director and cinematographer on documentary and educational films. Before returning to academia, he was senior filmmaker at public television station WTVI. His award-winning documentaries included God with a Green Face. His festival award-winning experimental films include Cumulonimbus, Deca-Dance, Photo Flow and X-Streams. As an experimental narrative filmmaker he currently is investigating methodologies and applications in linkage between computer imaging and digitized motion pictures. Has served as dean of the school and director of the Program in Experimental Animation. He received his bachelor's degree in 1969 from Chouinard Art Institute and his master's degree in 1972 from CalArts.
